Tacos

Steak-EZE® makes tacos terrific! Use in place of ground beef with your favorite taco kit or follow our recipe. Great with hard or soft tortillas. Serves 2-3.

Ingredients

  • 2 portions of Steak-EZE® Steak Strips
  • 1 ½ tsp. Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ fresh ground pepper
  • ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ tsp. oregano
  • ¼ tsp. paprika
  • ¼ onion powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin

Instructions

Mix all ingredients except for the steak strips. Sizzle strips in a preheated pan until they begin to break apart. Add seasoning and 2 teaspoons of water. When fully cooked, remove from heat and serve with the following:

  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sliced red or yellow peppers
  • Sliced red onions
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Shredded cheddar or jack cheese
  • Sour cream

Stir-Fry

Make your next stir fry easy with Steak-EZE®! Use your favorite stir-fry sauce or try our simple recipe. Serve with hot rice. Serves 2-3

Ingredients

  • 2 portions of Steak-EZE® Steak or Chicken Strips
  • 1 c. broccoli florets
  • ¼ c. carrots (cut into ½” slices)
  • ¼ c. chopped onion
  • ½ c. sliced sweet peppers
  • ½ snow pea pods
  • 2 tbs. vegetable oil
  • ¼ c. Soy sauce
  • 2 tbs. white wine or sherry
  • 2 tsp. hoisin sauce
  • ¼ tsp. ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbs. water

Instructions

Mix all last 8 ingredients together in a covered jar and shake to thoroughly combine. Set aside. Stir fry vegetables in 2 tbs. oil until they are tender, remove from heat and keep warm in a separate dish. In the same hot skillet, cook Steak-EZE until it begins to break apart. Add sauce and simmer until cooked through, return cooked vegetables to the pan and stir to combine. Serve with hot rice.

Sandwich

Steak-EZE® is the perfect choice for a Philly Cheesesteak. With peppers, onions and provolone on a fresh Italian loaf or hoagie roll, it’s classic flavor combination you’ll crave! Makes 2 hearty sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread, sliced in half and hollowed out, or 2 large hoagie rolls
  • 2 portions of Steak-EZE® Steak Strips
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 white onion
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • ½ lb. thinly-sliced provolone
  • Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

Slice pepper and onion into thin strips. Preheat a large griddle or sauté pan over medium and drizzle with olive oil. Cook onions and peppers about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften, then move them to the side and allow them to continue to cook. Put the Steak-EZE in the pan and when it begins to separate, season to taste with salt and add garlic and sizzle until done – about 5 minutes total. Mix meat with cooked onions and pepper. Divide the mixture into 2 portions, and top both portions with cheese to melt. When the cheese is melted, place the rolls face down on top of mixture, then slide a spatula under mixture, flip sandwiches over and serve.

Steak Salad

Steak-EZE® makes a steak salad that’s easy enough for lunch or dinner any day of the week. Use your favorite salad dressing and the freshest vegetables for the best flavor. Makes one large main dish salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 portion Steak-EZE® Steak Strips
  • Romaine lettuce, washed and torn into 1-2” strips
  • One large tomato cut into eighths, or 1/3 c sliced cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ small red onion, sliced
  • ½ small cucumber, peeled, seeded and sliced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Bleu cheese or feta, crumbled

Instructions

Place Steak-EZE into the hot skillet. When it begins to separate, season to taste with salt and pepper and add garlic. Remove from pan and let cool to desired temperature before placing on salad. Top with crumbled bleu cheese or feta. Serve with your favorite salad dressing like balsamic vinaigrette or bleu cheese.
